Whitewater boats don't usually want to go straight on flatwater, and will tend to veer. The XP has an integral skeg which, when deployed, offers superb tracking, but when tucked away, provides the agility needed to excel on whitewater. Additional width in the hull offers the stability needed even when loaded to the gills with camping gear. The dry hatch in the back is separated by a bulkhead, offering an independently buoyant and sealed compartment. This is our go-to boat for our multi-day adventures. (This is our ultimate ADA favorite!)
Designed for paddlers under 100 lbs, this is a fantastic whitewater boat for kids. Like the adult Remixes, the 47 has a great combination of hull speed, volume, maneuverability, and forgiveness. Whether your pint-sized paddler is a cautious novice or an advanced enthusiast, this speedy, easy-to-roll boat with top-shelf outfitting has what it takes for them to step up their game and have a great time.
The Remix series was designed to carve, to glide and to provide beginners, intermediates and experts with that age-old rush that comes with speed. Perfect for novices and instructors excited about rolling and proper eddy turns, big water junkies wanting to safely push their limits, or experienced racers looking to cash in, the Remix combines the clear advantages of a relatively narrow and longer hull platform with modern chine placement to create an unrivaled comfortable, stable and responsive package. It travels smoothly and easily over the water and, thanks to extra width at the ends, provides reassuring stability. This boat carves like a ski when put on edge, stays on the surface when running drops, has a fast hull for catching waves that others just can't catch, rolls easily, and inspires confidence.
The Stinger XP represents the next level in Crossover design. This game changing design combines the performance of its race-dominating sibling with the convenience and tracking of the award-winning Remix XP design. The combination provides a truly one-of-a-kind race-ready expedition kayak for intermediates and seasoned boaters alike. The Stinger XP's back hatch and spring-loaded skeg ensure it functions efficiently when loaded to the gills with camping gear for flatwater and mixed current expeditions. (This boat is an Epic: Kayak Ultimate player favorite!)
The Stomper was developed by blending the speed, stability, and rolling ability of the Remix Series with the bomber construction, safety, and boofability of the Jefe Series. It is maneuverable, extremely reactive, and pops up like a cork. (This boat is an ADA staff favorite!)
The design for the Flying Squirrel started with the extreme race-winning speed of the Remix Series. More rocker was added in the bow to get up and over obstructions, then a bunch more volume was packed throughout the deck to shed water in drops and punch through big rapids. That extra volume also lends itself to carrying the load for multi-day trips. While the Flying Squirrel excels in tough whitewater, the same characteristics join with an easy-to-roll design to make it a versatile boat that will take your paddling as far as you would like to go.
The Braaap's hull is derived from modern slalom boat design which gives crisp feedback to paddlers zipping in and out of eddies and while changing direction mid-current. The responsive hull, the ease of rolling and the Braaap's light weight create an excellent learning platform for novice paddlers while the speed and agility of the Braaap provide experienced boaters with downriver tactical controls. The Braaap has enough volume for all but your most challenging runs, yet it is small enough to control in the air, pivot turn, and surf like a dream. Once you dial this boat in, you will also find yourself tapping into squirts and splats. Jump in a Braaap and it will open up a completely new experience of how you play your way down the river.
The Mullet is all business up front, with plenty of rocker and volume in the bow to boof, ender, and surge up and over obstructions. Squirt, splat, blast, and surf just about any feature as you slice your way down the river. Like its cousin, the Braaap, the Mullet adopted its hull shape from modern slalom boat design. The kick rocker behind the seat lets the Mullet tilt back for quick pivots and snap carving turns into eddies. Whether you're learning the "oldskool" moves or you already know your way around an eddy line, this boat will become your go-to design.
